On 30.04.2025 Experiential Entrepreneurship: Student Entrepreneurs Product Display Cum Sale Expo was organized by Department of Management Studies in association with Entrepreneurship Development Cell and IIC through offline mode to the practicing entrepreneurs. 54 I year MBA students and faculties participated in the event. This event was coordinated by Dr.V.M.Sangeetha, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, Francis Xavier Engineering College.
# Key Highlights
The program was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Dr. Velmurugan, Principal of Francis Xavier Engineering College, Vannarpettai, with the presence of Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director and IIC President, Hod/MBA, faculties and students of I MBA. The event took place in the MBA Seminar Hall, where students showcased their products.
Participants were divided into two categories: one group displayed their products produced such as craftworks, paintings, organic clay art, floral decorations, personal care products like organic face creams and soaps, imitation jewellery, women's accessories, candles, and food and beverages. The second group showcased trading products, including stationery items and food and beverages.
Dr. Lourdes Poobala Rayen, EDC Director and IIC President, served as the jury and evaluated the entrepreneurial and trading skills of the students. Products were sold with sustainable packaging. Students not only displayed their products but also presented their business ideas, marketing strategies, and competitive analysis to the jury.
The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and administrative staff of Francis Xavier Engineering College, many of whom purchased the showcased products. Students also promoted their products through their social media handles. The prizes were distributed to the winners.
This event provided an enriching platform to transform creative ideas into real marketable products. Through this hands-on experience, students gained valuable insights into product development, pricing, promotion, and direct customer engagement. The expo not only tested the students' entrepreneurial skills but also taught the importance of understanding customer preferences, managing inventory, and adapting sales strategies on the spot.
